COVID RECOVERY

LAUNCHING THE VIRTUAL CONFERENCE CENTRE

JJ Splice joined with Fitness Playground to offer training to personal trainers on the most effective methods of growing a customer base using organic and paid video content.

At the end of the training, JJ Splice selected two trainers for a subsidised Instagram video marketing funnel. After only two weeks of the Instagram campaigns running, both trainers reported having more clients than they could service.

JJ Splice plans to do much more work with Personal Trainers during COVID recovery.

LIVE STREAM EVENTS

SURRY HILLS IS LIVE

JJ Splice has partnered with the City of Sydney and a coalition of Surry Hills venues to create SURRY HILLS LIVE, a unique weekly live stream content marketing project.

Each Thursday at 7:30pm the JJ Splice team recreates the local pub experience and brings Sydney's best musicians into everyone's homes via Facebook.

Sponsors include Urban Village magazine, which presents a short current affairs segment during interval and Hawkes Brewing Co, which will provide a virtual bar to viewers from June.

The aim is to support the night time economy and assist venues in recovering from COVID-19 by encouraging the exciting re-emergence of live music in Surry Hills.

Streams every Thursday at 7:30pm at fb.com/surryhills.live

PUBLIC ART

EXPOSING THE FACES OF SYDNEY

JJ Splice will create a stunning large scale projected installation on the corner of Elizabeth & Devonshire Streets at the end of 2020.

The project, initially envisioned as part of the now cancelled Vivid Festival, will proceed with the support of the City of Sydney.

FACES brings together the diverse personalities that comprise the communities of Surry Hills. Anyone can see themselves projected on the side of a building as enchanting imagery is projected on their own faces.

The project will be an important activation that will draw people out into the area and encourage patronage at local venues during COVID recovery.

DELICIOUS CONTENT MARKETING

MERIVALE'S BLAST FROM THE PAST

A jewel of Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs for over a decade, Lotus was intimate, fun and decadent, representing a vibrant time in Kings Cross’ history. It was also a breeding ground for talent with the likes of Dan Hong behind the pans, Alexx Stuart on the shakers and Frank Roberts, Merivale’s now Chief Food & Beverage Officer, leading the charge on the floor.

When Merivale decided to bring back the institution for an extended pop-up, they needed an eye-catching Instagram campaign as a vivid reminder of the once-famous aesthetic.

JJ Splice worked closely with Merivale's internal team on a Countdown-inspired creative. Principal photography combinined vintage Russian lenses and star filters from the '70s with a vintage film emulsion look. The result was... well, see for yourself!

HYPER-LOCAL MARKETING

EATING LOCAL WITH PICNIC

February's Picnic Surry Hills saw more than a thousand local residents turn out to share delicious food and beverage from local eateries against the backdrop of vibrant live entertainment. JJ Splice captured the event and created a delicious marketing campaign that received deep engagement on social media.
